Rapid
Performance Improvement (RPI)
Focused
interactive workshop sessions
The RPI Methodology uses highly interactive
and engaging workshop sessions to capture information relevant
to where the organization is in its improvement efforts.

The RPI Method emphasizes developing
workshop facilitation skills to plan, direct and manage each session.
In particular,
-
Each session is planned in
advance with clear precise objectives to ensure efficient
use of people's time and energy
-
Participant selection focuses
on broad participation while using knowledgable opinion leaders
as appropriate
-
Sessions are typically 1.5
to 2 hours long
-
Workshop sessions use the 80/20
rule to get 80% of the results with 20% of the effort (that
is, emphasis is on learning, not on perfecting)
-
Emphasis is placed on achieving
consensus of decisions quickly and efficiently
-
Issues not resolved in a session
(in not achieving consensus) are captured publicly and tracked
to closure
