Rapid Performance Improvement (RPI)

Phase II Overview

During Phase II (Map & GapTM):

  • A description of the current practice is developed, verified and reviewed by all affected groups.
  • Metrics that are currently available are identified; data is collected; and a performance baseline is created.
  • A mapping is performed between the business goals and problems to the current metrics, and deficiencies are noted for later process improvement action.
  • The descriptive model is compared to the associated reference processes and differences are identified (the gap).
  • The list of differences are prioritized based on the business goals and development problems identified during Phase I.
