When does
an end-user site need a license?
A
site needs a license with RPI Alliance Ltd. to print and use RPI
materials within their site. However, the site can elect to hire
a licensed external RPI service provider. In this situation, an
end-user license is not required as long as RPI Facilitator
tasks are performed by the licensed provider.
What are the RPI Alliance
licenses for End-Users?
There
are two levels of end-user licenses. Both levels provide the end-user
with an electronic copy of certain RPI Alliance materials to freely
print and use within their own organization or site.

When can a site "upgrade" its Base End-User
License?
A
site can upgrade its Base End-User License to an Extended End-User
License at any time. The site will receive a credit for its current
license based on a pro-rated amount for the number of full months
remaining under that license.
When will the licensed materials be available?
The
first public release of the Base End-User License materials will
be in April 2004.
The
public release of the Extended End-User License materials will
occur in July 2004.
Is an authorized RPI Facilitator required
to use the licensed materials?
No. However, RPI Alliance strongly
recommends that the site either send members of their site
to an RPI Facilitator Workshop to acquire the skills in the use
of the RPI methodology, or hire an external service provider to
support the use of the RPI methodology and reference processes. Visit the
RPI Alliance Ltd home page for an updated list of licensed RPI
Alliance Partners.
